The Aim of this book is to extend commonly used structural design for architects by a part about moveable constructions in buildings. Contents of different appertaining subjects, namely Kinematics as part of general mechanics and the interdependent mechanisms and gear trains as part of mechanical engineering, were reduced to vital substance from the point of structural design for architects. The present treatise is intended to be used as a guidebook by designing architects and engineers, who are to examine moveable building-constructions. A collection of examples of built moveable structures show typical and additionally special solutions in the design of bridges and rising structures.
